A few pointers for those new to Wrightsville: There are public docks in front of the old wings (breeza) where you can dock and get lunch or use public restrooms. If you do an overnight boat rental you can also dock there (has to be less than 24 hours). This is an easy way to see all the things from the water! Thanks Ben and Tony!

Palm Tree Island
Located just 200 yards north of the Wrightsville Beach wildlife ramp, this local sandbar is an easy spot to anchor up for a bit. It is in a no wake zone so that makes conditions around it very smooth and relaxing.

Mason's Inlet
This inlet is located on the north end of Wrightsville Beach and has some of the bluest water in the Mid-Atlantic! It offers an abundance of places to anchor up and hang out.

Masonboro Island
An entire island nature reserve and an all time favorite for anchoring up! Whether it's a holiday weekend or just a Wednesday in July, this spot is always a popular destination. You can anchor up on the back of the island and walk over the beach side or just find a spot to hang in the sound side of the island.

Rich's Inlet
Located on the north end of Figure Eight Island, this is a beautiful place to anchor up and relax. Great spot with kids at low tide because there are very large sandbars and calm clear water around.

Restaurants on the ICW
Just south of the Wrightsville Beach drawbridge you will find dock and dine restaurants on both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway with boat docking available in front of each establishment. There are also a couple of gas docks there for refueling.
